Hip Hop Littles Helps Transform Lives
It is a simple yet entirely essential thought that kids deserve to be just kids. At the time of diagnosis with chronic illnesses, the lives of these innocent souls change tremendously. Even more so, it’s the close ones that are affected. In a brief second of diagnosis, a child’s whole life is taken away from him and his childhood just flows away. These children have the right to a second chance in life that restores their childhood to them and with it, also repairs the damage to the family. That’s precisely where Bounce stems from, to provide a helping hand to the ones in need in the time they need it the most. Bounce: From Surviving to Thriving (200)Bounce Children’s Foundation is an organization that helps make lives easier for children and their families that are diagnosed with chronic illnesses. It is a fact that children of all races, ethnicities, religious beliefs and socioeconomic standing face the challenge of chronic illness on a daily basis. Bounce takes the initiative to make life easier for these affected children and their families. Bounce believes in creating an unbiased impact in the community and to do that, it condemns racism, oppression, exclusion, and violence against any person and believes that just as all kids – including the nearly 1 in 5 battling a medical condition for which there is no cure – deserve to be “just kids”, and that’s what drives them.
HHL Transforms Lives
Hip Hop Littles is a clothing line that designs pieces of clothing with the vision to bring communities together and tether them in unity. More than just a brand, we strive to go out of our way to bring about a sense of unity within the community. Amongst many ventures, one that is very close to our hearts is the collaboration with Bounce, aiming to help children get their lives back. As we work to make our brand accessible to everyone, we are also actively working to increase healthcare accessibility to the youth. Our collaboration with Bounce allowed us to volunteer and help in building boxes to be sent out to families. These Care Packages are personally curated for families who have children with disabilities and contain gifts, activities, coloring pages, and books. The packages are put together thoughtfully to nurture playfulness and knowledge in these children to help make it easier for them. Our volunteers also actively participated in event coordination with Bounce, making the process smoother and adding even more value to the work both organizations do.
The Present Need
It is primitive for our time to understand that chronic illnesses disturb the lives of children and also hinder their lives by limiting their roles in schools, recreation, and vocational pursuit. Thus, it’s a need of our time that more organizations realize the communal struggle at hand and come together to help make lives better. Hip Hop Littles continues to raise awareness in such matters and will continually strive to play its part in serving the community with responsibility.
