Hip Hop Littles Clothing Brand

Hailing from the rugged streets of Chicago’s south side, Modello came up with an ingenious idea in 2016. It was a moment in time when the underground hip-hop and R&B recording artist had dreams of bringing the culture together. While he was recording, he realized his people were in need of a unifying message and found inspiration through the culture of music. What started as a small invention through music turned into an endeavor of expression and style. Created for leaders of every ethnicity — from men women, children, and babies alike — our fun, music-inspired threads don’t just make fashion statements, they inspire people to be happy. Our brand believes in making outfits that are fun and hygienically safe to wear, and our most popular clothing line caters to children of all age groups, making our items accessible to everyone, both big and small. Everyone has the right to discover and explore their own personal style, and here at Hip Hop Littles Clothing Co., we value family first. Our outfits are designed with both culture and music in mind, and it is our promise to you that every stitch is made with love, and every garment is shipped with care.

What makes this valuable to me is the inspiration I can bring to someone else. As a child, I’ve had my share of being bullied; I know how hard it is to be disliked because you’re different from someone else. I want to encourage kids to take a stand against bullies, which I think makes this brand more valuable than life itself.

SM - What’s unique about this that separates it from the rest?

There is no other clothing brand that is looking to build our youth and unity in our communities. Somewhere, the love has been lost, and that’s our mission: To encourage a better world for our future kings and queens to thrive. We also host events and a percentage of our earnings from brand purchases are then donated to different children’s hospitals in the Chicago area.

SM - Who was a part of this project that contributed to its success?

Markyshaa, our character designer in Russia, has been a huge part of the brand’s success. Without her, we almost wouldn’t have a brand, so we’re very grateful she’s a part of the team. Carol Linnee, our executive assistant out of Michigan, has been very valuable in building our contacts and business relationships. My VP, Brandon, handles public relations for the company. And of course, as the CEO of the company, I direct everything and ensure my team is accommodated with the materials they need for all of us to be successful.

SM - What are some other things people can expect from you in the near future?

The future Is looking very creative and positive for the brand. Not to give too much information away, but we are looking to release our cartoon series on YouTube within the next year or two.

SM - What else would you like consumers to know about your brand?

As a brand, we promote a real lifestyle. Our mission lets every child know that they are not alone in this world. Consumers can visit our blog for more information on our mission statement and goals as well as fashion tips with children in mind.

Connect with Hip Hop Littles on social media and visit the brand’s website (http://www.hiphoplittles.com/).

SM - HHL, What are you promoting and what are the details around it?

Hip Hop Littles is a clothing brand soon to be a cartoon series that represents unity, music, fun, peace, culture, love, and family. We centered our brand on those who seek peace in every aspect of life. There are also 10 characters of different ethnic backgrounds who represent just that.

SM - What is the inspiration behind what you do?

Being able to wake up and know that somewhere in the world I’ve changed or had the opportunity to change someone’s life.

SM - Why is this so valuable to you, and why now?

SM - How was this put together and how does it benefit the consumers?

This brand was put together when I pursued music. The beginning design was actually supposed to be artwork for a single I planned to release in 2016. So, basically, it started as an idea. This brand benefits the consumer because of its mission statement and what it stands for. We’re here to grow and build confidence in our youth while also being fashionable.

SM - What message are you hoping to get across to the people by doing what you do?

Everyone’s child is different, we all come with different lifestyle changes and developments that shape our lives. Loving our kids, loving each other as we grow, and taking on things one day at a time, we could really change the way the world reacts. Every parent, nowadays especially, is looking for something that is positive, something positive that can hold their kids’ interest. That’s where we come in!
